Carrabelle is located along U.S. HWY 98 on Florida's Forgotten Coast. U.S.Hwy 98 stretches nearly 300 miles from Perry to Pensacola, Florida. Located 52 miles southwest of downtown Tallahassee, Carrabelle is the gateway to many of the world's most beautiful beaches, barrier islands, historical districts, and national wildlife preserves which include; St. George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle, Cape San Blas, Mexico Beach, Panacea, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, Dog Island and  St. Joe Peninsula.

The Tallahassee Railroad Bike Trail is 23 miles of beautiful scenery which ends at the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge
